Final Technology Class

Today the year seven and eights went to Tamaki College for Technology. Today for our final Technology class I was in graphics class and we had Mrs Sparks for our teacher. Our main point we did in class was putting our night light design together and completing it so it could be ready for the lights. First Mrs Sparks  explained to us what to do with our pieces the following list explained what we did: Plan what to do with the parts, glue it together with the super glue, wait for it to dry, and your completed. As I completed my night light design I have to wait for Mrs Sprak to put the lights in the night light and deliver it to us at school sometime this week. But though I’m not fully completed was very proud of myself of the work I did throughout this whole of 12 weeks we had in graphics class and also including this whole year.

Technology Graphics Class

Today the year seven and eights went to Tamaki College for Technology. Today for Technology I was in graphics class and we had Mrs Sparks for our teacher. Our main point we did in class was focusing on our light design and the measurement of the light design. The first thing we did was enter in Mrs Ferguson, then we prepared and measure our night light on paper to see what it looks like. After that one by one we would tell Mrs Sparks our main design and measurement and then we would use the laser cutter and cut out our night light design. Only of us was able to finish the night light because the laser cutter is a long process, so Mrs Sparks decided to do some work during this week. I enjoyed technology class and I can’t wait for next week.

Technology Graphics Class

Today the year seven and eights went to Tamaki College for Technology. Today for Technology I was in graphics class and we had Mrs Sparks for our teacher. Our main point we did in class was finalizing our design for our night light and working out the measurement and colours. We used Google Drawing to plan out what our design will look like and the colours we would use. After we used Google Drawing we printed it out and cut up to pieces and make a little 3D model of a night light. I wasn’t able to finish due to time but I really enjoyed class and I can’t wait for our final night light design.

Technology Graphics Class

Today the year seven and eights went to Tamaki College for Technology. Today for Technology I was in graphics class and we had Mrs Sparks for our teacher. Our main point we did in class was the function of the laser cutter and using it. The laser cutter is a big mechanical box that has all the kind of function to cut things. The first step we did was use a computer to type a name in it so it can be programmed in the laser cutter, next we put a red plastic of sheet in the laser cutter, then used buttons to program the laser cutter to do it job then we close the machine and watched it do magic. When it was finished we took the red sheet out and grabbed  our label, we used a cloth to wipe it down and finally put a string to connect and then it was completed. I really enjoyed our technology class and I can’t wait for next term for our technology class.

Identity

My identity is one of the most important thing to me, because without my identity and don’t know who I am. To show my identity a have presented it on a slideshow and each of the picture represent myself. The rugby ball represent my passion and love for rugby, the Tongan flag shows my background, my family and culture, the books show my determination on my education, and the final picture represent my most important one and that is my religion and that my foundation that shows the person I am today.

Technology Graphics Class

Today the year seven and eights went to Tamaki College for Technology. Today for Technology I was in graphics class, and unfortunately are teacher Mrs Sparks wasn’t at Tamaki today so we had Mrs Ferguson. What we did in graphics was making 3D shapes with paper and adding design on it, for a practice for a night light. Mrs Ferguson taught us how to make the paper a 3D shape and how to add the design, by cutting up some design holes so the light can shine through it. For my design on the paper I did a castle and a dragon and it was fun doing that. I really enjoy our technology graphic class and I can’t wait for our next class.
